Dear Teachers and Year 13 Sports leadership,

Thank you very much saint Kents for having us at your beautiful clean colledge, and that hopefully we are able to come again another day. We all thank you guys very much for teaching us some new sports and for giving us some delicious treats at the end of the session all the time. We also thank you guys for letting us in your big clean pool for some games and a little swim in it. It was so cool, and thanks for giving your time up  for us to help us learn some new sports.  Thankyou so much saint Kents for teaching us the following sports:

Cricket, Soccer, Hockey, Rob the nest, Swimming, Frisbee,Touch rugby, Softball,  Relays, Rabbit and the mouse and Zig Zag ( rugby skills ).

All of these sports were very very fun and that maybe if we ever get to go back to your colledge, we might even be able to learn more stuff! So Thank you very much saint Kents and i hope you enjoyed your time with us!!

Making Fizz

Making Fizz

Today we made sherbet, a lolly that fizzes in your mouth.

Screenshot 2014-03-25 at 14.24.30.pngFirst we mixed the icing sugar and powdered cordial. Then, we added the baking soda. The last two ingredients were the citric acid and the tartaric acid. Finally we mixed all the ingredients together.

When our teacher allowed us to taste the mixture, it began to fizz in our mouths. This was because we mixed the acids with carbonates this is why it fizzed.

This was the first best  experiment we had in the class this year. in experiment very much.

Reading School Journal

Birthday party 21 March 2014Screenshot 2014-03-21 at 11.31.56.png

Hi my name is Petuana and i have been reading this book called birthday party.
from the school journal that you see up above. This story is about a girl named Tana
who was turning ten and that she had been excited ever since 6:00 in the morning. Her mum and dad had been up all night working on the decorations, food and the prizes. Tana’s birthday really meant alot to her because her nan and koro promised that on her 10nth birthday they would give her a special gift and that was a special bone carving with a beautiful swirling shape at the end of the carving like a fern frond.

I really like this book because her gift from nan and koro was really special to her.

Hi I am a  girl.I am 10 years old.  My name is petuana . I live in the quiet suburb of pt england in Auckland, New Zealand.  I go to glen innes school in our area called glen innes. I am proud of my green and black uniform and wear it daily to school.

I have dark brown eyes, and i have black smooth hair.  Sometimes I colour my hair .

The things I like doing at school are  maths art and sports. Going swimming everyday is soooo cool.  I also love writing and updating my blog every week. It is cool to see so many people from all over the world reading my writing.

Like all the students in my class, I like food.  I enjoy eating  hot chips, sushi , tropical fruits and chicken and avocado sandwiches. but my favorite is sushi.

I have many friends at school too.  In school we all play we talk,we eat and drink. I love talking with my best friends, Mele, Rebecca and Alyssa. Sometime we get together after school to talk about what we should do tomorrow.

Glen Innes is a safe place to be in.
