What A Day!

Walht: write an interesting and enjoyable narrative.

The birds were singing aloud as the cars were zooming down the road beeping at each other. A cloud of fog filled the town covering the buildings like a blanket when Miles a young boy with short curly blonde hair and the face of a teenage superstar woke up feeling dehydrated and hungry.

Miles yawned as he stared at the ceiling with an eyebrow raised wondering why the ceiling felt so close. He could feel the condensation rubbing against his back from the window while the frosty cold mist crawled down his back like a thousand ants with ice cubes for feet. Miles was freezing cold but he was struggling to reach for his blanket, in fact his arms were to stiff to reach for anything so he laid there with his eyes wide open listening to the birds everyday tweets until…

Screams of terror filled the room when his parents came up. They stopped and simultaneously looked at each other crying for their son who had extended from small to large overnight. “ Oh No! Miles!” cried his parents but Miles had no clue why they were crying. “ Mum? Dad? What’s wrong?” He said in a low worried voice so his dad quickly ran down stairs like a scared cat and instead of grabbing a mirror he grabbed the shiniest pan in the house as they were living in poverty and couldn’t afford a mirror and showed Miles his reflection.“ AHHHHHHHH!!!!” Miles got such a fright that he leaped out of his cracked wooden bed like a frog and smashed right through the bricked wall out onto a large red bus. The streets were a freezer!

Miles suddenly got up. Cars were beeping at Miles as people from all directions rushed over to see what had landed on their favourite red bus. They all crowded around Miles as if their favourite foods were on sale and as soon as he rubbed his eyes, he spotted a bright multi-coloured sign that said “ Special Cures” so he jumped up and ran to the shop but because he forgot how tall he was, he bumped right into a steel sign and knocked himself out. He then woke up in a muted grey and green coloured room. “ What? Where am I?” He said to himself still half asleep. Beside him stood a long mirror and in it’s reflection was an old man with a freshly shaved stubble holding a beaker of red liquid. Miles stared at the old man as he poured the liquid in a tube that went down his arm that made him feel dizzy and sick but knocked him out again.

He then woke up feeling sick wearing torn baggy clothes. He got out of bed and walked towards the mirror and stood and looked at himself. His jaws clenched as he stood there in silence. Miles screamed as high as he could, but no one heard him as he had shrunk because of that old man. Days later, No one ever heard from Miles again.

I find your story really entertaining. I like how you said " The streets were like a freezer." My story is about a teenage boy that grew smaller like a little fairy. Did you find this topic interesting?
